 Patty and Joey Shortino

Owners

Both Patty and Joey have owned and trained at Showcase Farm since 1979. They have trained World Champions, National High Point Horses, Congress Champions and Performance Halter Horses.

They enjoy training riders and horses in Halter, Pleasure Driving, Hunter Hack and Horsemanship.

Kristie W. Dimarakis

Assistant Trainer

Kristie has ridden horses and shown nationally on the “A” circuit for over 25 years. She started riding ponies and horses at the age of ten in Chicago, where she rode for Charles and Daphne Denney, moving up through the Children’s Hunters, Large Juniors and Jumpers. Kristie has been very fortunate to work with many top trainers and has attended numerous clinics. With a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Kristie prides herself on her ability to work with adults and children to teach them about the equestrian sport.

Kristie has proven herself as trainer throughout the years, a long list of riders and horses that have been NIHJA, GHJA and USEF/USHJA Champions. Several of her pony riders have placed at the USEF National Pony Finals,Harrisburg and Washington.

 Megan Johnston

Megan began riding at Showcase when she was 9 years old, taking lessons from Patty.  She is currently enrolled in college, but her real passion is horses. Megan helps Patty and Joey by riding and exercising their show horses, as well as giving beginner lessons. She feels very fortunate to have a job that allows her to fulfill her passion everyday, as well as give others a chance to fulfill theirs.

Louise Thrane Pejstrup

Assistant Trainer

Louise is originally from Denmark. She had been riding since she was 3 years old and quickly found out that show jumping was the right sport for her. She has been showing all over Europe, but mostly in Denmark, Germany and Belgium. She made it as far as to competing on Grand Prix level before moving to the US. While she still has ambitions for her own career, she also find it very rewarding investing time in assisting other riders to fulfill their ambitions and dreams.

Currently, she is primarily assisting other riders with lessons in both jumping and dressage, and with providing professional training for their horses. She is, however, flexible in terms of modifying the training to suit your exact needs and preferences.

 Courtney Britt

Courtney began riding at Showcase at the age of eight after receiving a riding lesson as a birthday present. Courtney now teaches beginner and intermediate lessons at Showcase. She truly loves teaching, and loves watching her students progress. Horses have always been a passion of hers, and she feels lucky to be able to do what she loves each day.
